There are two paths in life: one is a job and the other is business or freelancing. Most people do jobs. Everyone knows the benefits of government jobs: a fixed salary, government quarters, allowances, holidays, and pension. And when it comes to government jobs in Pakistan, they are more than jobs — they are considered respect and security. That's why everyone prepares for government jobs.
But in reality, the salary from a government job is barely enough to make ends meet. And freelancing is a field where you can earn more than a government officer, but there is no security. You don't get a pension, and your income is not fixed. Some months you earn well, others you don't.
And not everyone is capable of freelancing. It requires hard work and consistency. You must learn skills, then build your profile, then wait for clients. It takes years. But when it starts to grow, your income starts to increase. A freelancer is free; he has no boss. He works on his own terms. That's why this field is called freelancing — "free".
If you're in a situation where you urgently need to support your household and get financial support, then do a job. But if you are already financially supported and have time to work hard, then definitely do freelancing. It is a golden field.
